R&D Needs
The Industrial Technologies Program (ITP) provides cost-shared funding to selected R&D projects that address industry-defined priorities as well as national goals for energy and the environment. Projects focus on potentially high-payoff technologies that are too risky or costly to attract adequate private funding.
See below for information about solicitations from the ITP Glass Industry of the Future and other ITP and DOE programs of potential interest to the glass industry. There are several Glass Industry solicitations active at this time.
We invite you to post feedback on these solicitations and open up items for discussion here in the Glass R&D GovForums.
Keep in mind that all questions concerning this funding opportunity announcement must be submitted through the IIPS system (see section VII of the solicitations for question submittal instructions).
The ITP Glass portfolio is currently composed of several active projects. In addition, the ITP has around twenty completed glass projects.
Note: Official notices of solicitations can be found at http://www.fedbizopps.gov or in the Federal Register. This list is for information only-it may not be inclusive of all solicitations. Funding amounts and schedule dates are subject to change.
Active Solicitations
We have two active funding opportunities that will be of interest to you, Plant Wide Assessments, and Glass Industry of the Future.
Plant Wide Assessments: DOE is interested in developing a portfolio of Plant Wide Assessments (PWA) that can be used by industries to identify energy efficiency opportunities in industrial plants and a comprehensive list of energy efficiency actions that industrial plants can consider to improve energy performance.
Glass Industry of the Future: DOE is seeking applications for cost-shared research and development of technologies which will reduce energy consumption, reduce environmental impacts and enhance economic competitiveness of the domestic glass industry. The research is to address the topics derived from research priorities identified by the glass industry in the Glass Industry Technology Roadmap.
Check out these active solicitations for cost-sharing opportunities that meet the efficiency improvement needs of your business. We list all Industrial Technologies Program solicitations that are currently open and accepting proposals.
Future Solicitations
