I enjoyed Ronald B. Majette's presentation at the FMA conference. During your presentation and while we were talking you mentioned, that you would like to have inputs from the members, well, I have a great concern with the new proposed zones and the "U" value assigned to them, I think we should try to simplify and do it like the Energy Star Program, with just three zones instead of eight, also setting realistic values to it. Like the north area more emphasis on U-value less SHGC, central and south zones more emphasis on SHGC(.4), and less on U-value(.65). As you know Energy Star Program tried to do the same thing you are doing, but now they are re-evaluating having more technical facts, also the economical impact that this change will bring (destroying the Aluminum Window Industry). Another point to take in consideration is the mold problem (I just received a cancellation notice from my Insurance Company); it is getting out of control. I can provide additional letters that I think have good information about the subject. You also mentioned that you would like to come to visit us; we would like to invite you to see our operation. Let me know, so we can make arrangements.
